Green Smoothies With Boba Are Good For The Soul
Posted on: October 1, 2009
As I’ve recently returned from a rather long drive across some rather long states, it’s been a rather long time since my last post. So, to compensate for that break in posting, I will give you a rather tacky image.

Green is a glorious color for a smoothie to be. This particular smoothie is comprised primarily of mango, pineapple, banana and orange juice. The green is the result of some impulse spinach being dumped into the blender. Spinach in smoothies is underrated – it provides an efficient means of gaining the 28374982374 nutrients that spinach contains while consuming something that tastes much better then actual spinach. This also contains some experimental flax seeds. According to a wealth of random internet sources, flax seed is neck in neck with spinach in terms of nutrients and such. So, we recently acquired some in an attempt to further ward off eventual hospitalization and maiming from lack of nutrients (or something like that). Anyhow, they seem to go down just fine in smoothie form.
And what are those delightful looking dark blobs at the bottom of this green glass? Why boba, of course! I am in love with giant slimy tapioca balls. I had the luck to come across some instant boba, which only took about 5 minutes to boil. Most packages take around 25 minutes or so, and I am generally too lazy to wait that long. In the same shopping trip, I also got myself some taro milk tea flavoring, meaning that I’ve had a wave of taro bubble tea adventures lately, a few of said adventures actually resulting in something that tastes like taro bubble tea! And, with my recent acquisition of a better camera, I am actually able to photograph beverages such as these without the giant fuzzy blob effect occurring. Good times, indeed.
