So, a little while back Drew and I made a foray into the magical land of Williamsburg, VA to get breakfast with his mom. Being an internet junkie, I picked the place by doing a google search for pancake places and picking the one with the highest rating from some random website or another with reviews and such. So we ended up eating at the Gazebo House of Pancakes. It was still only 3.5 stars out of 5, which had me slightly concerned at first. However, after poking around a bit more, I noticed that Pierces BBQ, one of the most delicious BBQ places ever, also had 3.5 stars, and that therefore people who decide to rate restaurants on websites are entirely too picky for their own good.
In any case, I had sausage biscuits. Mmm… sausage biscuits!
Or, more specifically, I got a side of biscuits and a side of sausage and combined them for delicious unity. See, I’m not very good at dealing with breakfast places. This is because there are very few forms of breakfast eggs that I do not find repulsive. This eliminates most of the interesting combos for me, and makes me really appreciate places that offer sides and a la carte and such. Anyhow, the biscuits were quite tasty, I mixed and matched them with the blueberry, strawberry, and regular syrup, and all was good in the land of my stomach. Got a chance to try a bit of the pecan pancakes with bananas, also quite tasty. The best part of this place, though, is the fact that there’s a giant gazebo inside the building. It’s quite exciting, really! So if you are in Williamsburg and need a place to get good breakfast food, I highly recommend the Gazebo House of Pancakes.
