If you like discount chocolate as much as I do, then you desperately need to visit the Russel Stover outlet store. It’s located at Exit 104 off of I-95. They’ve got a vast assortment of chocolate as well as large quantities of discounted chocolate left over from various holiday. The best part, though, is their boxes of reject chocolate. The chocolates that weren’t quite up to the standards needed to go into a regular box, but are still delicious in their own right. So I have a pound of dark chocolate gotten for $3.00 (on sale from $4.00). It’s also exciting because you just don’t really know what you’re gonna get (and not in the Forrest Gump sense). For example, I’ve got a box which is 80% filled with vanilla cremes of various shapes. Which is fine, as I like vanilla cremes. A friend ended up with a box mostly filled with fruity chocolates, and as they’re the higher end dark chocolates, the fruit isn’t all that bad. This was, incidentally, the reason I did not go for the bargain buy of $5.00 for a 3 lb discount box of the regular chocolate – with my luck I’d get mostly fruity fillings, most of which I’m not really a fan of.
Also, I shall be headed out to Florida for a week, so this shall be the last of the postings for a bit.
