So this is fabulous.
I’m poking around allrecipes.com, thinking that it’s high time I made some cookies with pumpkin in them. See, I had this visionary idea awhile back. It was when I first discovered that you, indeed, could use a cake mix to make cookies. My brain was squishing around all of the different possibilities that this could lead to, and one that stood out to me was pumpkin cookies with spice cake. I totally thought I could make up a really awesome recipe based off of the two mighty ingredients.
So I got a can of pumpkin, and I got a package of spice cake. And soon enough, D-Day had arrived. Or rather C-Day, them being cookies and all. I was ready for The Great Experiment. But first, it occurred to me that maybe I should actually see if anyone’s already thought of this master plan before.
So there I was, checking out the allrecipes.com selection. And then I see it, the easiest recipe ever. The ingredients for the cookies? A can of pumpkin and a spice cake mix. I kid you not. it’s like the website read my mind. So I made them, and they were delicious. And the rooster decreed that it was good.
Mind you, I like to make things difficult. So I dumped in some chocolate chips. I also looked up pumpkin pie seasonings, to make them uber-spicy, so I also added cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger. In any case, they were super squishy, and I highly recommend them to anyone who is lazy and likes pumpkin items. I also recommend them to anyone who enjoys becoming obese, as they will get snarfed down rather rapidly.
Oh, and those little whitish bits? Apparently mixers are better at stirring then my hands and a spoon! If only I could remember this when it comes to cookie batter.
